With the focus on family and community,
the Family Festival and Chili Cook-Off included a festive atmosphere of food, fun and
wholesome entertainment.

Area Businesses, groups and individuals had the opportunity to
showcase their cooking savvy and creative promotional skills. The event culminated
with a panel of celebrity judges and the general public selecting the Chili Champion of
the Coastal Bend.
A wide mix of people and their specialties
were showcased at this successful event.

Spectators
had the opportunity to
sample each team's chili and place a "People's Choice" vote for their favorite.
|
Local organizations were invited to participate in fun, games and special community
interest displays. A percentage of all proceeds will benefit the on-going work of the FBA.
The event was promoted throughout
the
Coastal Bend via television, radio, and selected print media. Sponsors were afforded a
high profile at the event site and in publicity, based on their chosen level of
participation.
